Energy Executive Moves: Cox Enterprises, Bloom Energy, Plug Power, PowerSecure, AutoGrid Systems, Lighting Science
Cox Enterprises promoted Steve Bradley (pictured) and Robert Fairey to senior directors. Bradley helps manage the long-term strategy for the Cox Conserves program. He oversees Cox’s alternative energy and water conservation projects. Fairey develops and implements strategies to manage Cox’s overall energy portfolio.
Steve Case, co-founder of AOL and chairman and CEO of investment firm Revolution, has joined the Bloom Energy board of directors. Case joins other Bloom Energy board members, including General Colin Powell.
Plug Power appointed Chris Hutter as chief financial officer effective November 6, 2014. Hutter will take over responsibilities for Dave Waldek who has served as interim CFO since April 2013. Most recently, Hutter was executive vice president and CFO of PowerSecure International.
At PowerSecure International, Eric Dupont has been appointed as executive vice president, finance and administration, effective immediately. He will report to PowerSecure CEO Sidney Hinton. Dupont was previously vice president of FP&A at PowerSecure, where his responsibilities included corporate development and implementing new budgeting and cost control systems.
Raj Pai has joined AutoGrid Systems as global head of product management and marketing. Raj co-founded Claritics (acquired by Systems-in-Motion), a cloud-based Big Data analytics provider to retailers, game publishers and social media platforms.
Lighting Science appointed Edward Bednarcik as chief executive officer. Bednarcik replaces Interim CEO Richard Davis, who will continue to serve as a director on Lighting Science’s board. Bednarcik most recently served as CEO and president at Video IQ, an enterprise software company.
Radiance Solar announced Radiance O&M Services, which will be led by Jordan Shechter as director of operations and maintenance. Shechter joins the Radiance team after working with Enfinity America and SunPower Corporation in asset management and maintenance management capacities.
Ice Energy promoted Mike Hopkins to president of the company. Hopkins previously served as the company’s executive vice president of corporate development and legal and played a key role in engaging with utilities across the country and internationally. CEO Dave Prezioso will continue to focus on R&D, development of upcoming new product lines and operations.
Engineering design and consulting firm Mazzetti announced that Scott Wallace, LEED AP and certified energy manager, has joined its San Francisco office as associate principal to expand on the firm’s sustainability services. Wallace joins Mazzetti from Syserco Energy Solutions where he was a principal and founding member.
Consulting-engineering firm Environmental Systems Design has promoted Paul Barter to senior vice president in charge of the high performance buildings team. His main focus is on central plants, micro grids, resilient and distributed power distribution, combined heat and power (CHP), and high-rise designs.
Retail energy consulting firm Amerex Energy Services hired three new senior energy consultants – Beth Miletello, Chester Karchefsky and Dan Smith who will all report to Senior Vice President Jeff Shoaf.
