Emerson has updated its Sensi smart thermostat capabilities: the company announced this week that its thermostats are now compatible with the Google Assistant. By combining the Google voice technology platform with Emerson’s HVAC controls and system connectivity will help contractors empower their customers to “take control of their environment without disrupting their busy lives.” Use of Wi-Fi smart thermostats like this is on the rise, as customer preferences for cloud-based solutions has compelled manufacturers to increase the uptake of smart programmable thermostats, according to Future Market Insights.
Emerson’s integrated devices, including its Sensi thermostats, now provide voice control via Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa and Wink.
The Sensi Touch Wi-Fi Thermostat and the Sensi Wi-Fi Thermostat offer easy installation for contractors through the Sensi smartphone app. By letting customers choose between the geofencing proximity detection feature or the flexible scheduling options, Sensi thermostats can “achieve energy savings without compromising comfort,” Emerson says.
Research Says Wi-Fi Smart Thermostats on the Rise
Products like these are helping boost the growth of the global market for Wi-Fi smart thermostats.
