The AHR Expo is being held this week in Las Vegas. Here are some interesting and potentially important products that are being introduced.
Contractor.com offered a look at some of the products on introduced and on display. Highlights include Super Seal Flex Inject from DiversiTech Corp. The story says that the product is an air conditioning and refrigerant leak sealant designed to save HVAC/R personnel time and expense.
The story also featured two products from WaterFurnace. TruClimate modular chillers, which are aimed at commercial and industrial applications, enable capacity additions in 5 ton to 25 ton increments. The chillers feature real-time monitoring via wide-area networks, local-area networks (WAN and LAN) and WiFi.
The company also featured the R-410A WC Modular Scroll Chiller. It is a scroll compression device aimed at providing high efficiency and capacity control. It features a modular cabinet design that the company says is a good fit for multiple chiller bank installations. It includes an optional six-pipe header rack. Efficiencies exceed 27 EER and 8 COP, the company says.
Finally, the story says that Modine is using the show to introduce GeoSync, a water-to-air light commercial geothermal heat pump. The company says that the product, which will be available in March, uses the CF Microchannel air coil to increase two-stage efficiency. It also has a patent-pending design with a vertical control panel.
LG Electronics also made an announcement at the show. The LG MultiSITE, according to the company’s press release, is aimed at enabling better building efficiencies by providing personnel with optimized controls. The suite includes the MultiSITE Remote Controller, the Communications Manager and the VM3 building management platform. The controllers use BACnet MS/TP to integrate into the building’s management system. It includes occupancy and humidity sensors and Zigbee wireless capabilities.
