The State University of New York’s Purchase campus has completed work on an energy efficiency initiative.
The Herald Courier says that the project consists of four cooling towers and an underwater condenser system. The project, which cost about $9.2 million, is expected to save $400,000 annually in energy bills and cut carbon emissions by 360 tons, the story says. The project is part of an effort to improve energy efficiency in state buildings by 20 percent by 2020.
Last month, East Central University in Ada, OK, received an incentive payment of $297,437 from Oklahoma Gas & Electric. The payment was from the utility’s Schools and Government Efficiency (SAGE) program.
