In an expansion of the competitive retail green energy supplier founded in 2009, Viridian International Management announced on July 19 that the company has acquired assets previously held by the network marketing sales unit of independent power retailer Crius Energy, with the goal of expanding Viridian’s sales Associate base, product offerings, and geographic reach.
The Viridian sales network was launched in with a single electricity product and a goal: Make green energy affordable and readily available, and people will gladly choose it. The company today offers a range of responsible energy products including solar energy and natural gas, as well as the chance for individuals to take control of their income with a “powerful” business opportunity. Independent Viridian Associates decide when and how much to work and become an integral part of a direct selling industry. Viridian then provides the tools, training and support to help Associates generate sustainable income.
Today the 53rd most successful network marketing sales force in the world according to Direct Selling News, Viridian connects with customers in 18 markets in the United States and Australia through a network of more than 22,000 Independent Associates.
The new organization is led by CEO Paul Booth, a network marketing industry veteran and founder of Data Paradigm; and Cami Boehme, who will transition from her role as Chief Strategy Officer for Crius Energy to serve as COO for Viridian International. Michael Fallquist, who founded the Viridian sales channel in 2009, will serve on Viridian’s Board of Directors.
Booth explained, “In Viridian, I saw the right brand, the right people and the right time to finally make my dream of leading a radically successful network marketing company a reality. I am thrilled to steward Viridian into a new era and rapidly expand our Associate base with additional product offerings, new markets and a world-class opportunity for sustainability-minded entrepreneurs everywhere.”
Viridian will continue to offer responsible energy products in the United States through its partnership with Crius Energy. The company also has begun to forge alliances with strategic partners in other product categories, in order to provide Viridian Independent Associates with a broad range of options to grow and build their businesses.
“When Viridian was founded in 2009, we had no idea just how far-reaching, how impactful the efforts of a dedicated, passionate group of independent Associates would be,” Fallquist said. “As we look to Viridian’s future growth story, I am delighted to have identified the ideal partner to take the network marketing sales channel to the next level.”
