Energy Manager Today 75 2018

Congratulations to the Energy Manager Today 75 Honorees

At Energy Manager Today, we cover commercial and industrial energy management issues; our publication’s purpose is to keep energy managers informed about today’s issues, typically focusing on news surrounding what companies are doing in the energy management space and how it will affect our readers. And while that news is vital to energy managers and their ability to do their jobs, our mission has evolved as we came to realize that it is equally important to recognize the people in the space – the vice presidents, directors, managers and engineers responsible for driving their companies, and the energy management industry itself, forward. Thus, our recognition program was born in 2017 as a way to honor these individuals.

This year, the program has evolved, with two exciting enhancements:

  1. 75 Honorees: Last year, we were thrilled to announce the EMT50 Honorees; this year, with so many top-notch nominations, we bumped that number to 75. Hence our announcement of the EMT75.
  2. Person of the Year: While every single EMT75 Honoree is worthy of serious recognition, sometimes an individual’s accomplishments in a given year are particularly noteworthy. With that in mind, we’ve added a “Person of the Year” honor to the EMT75 program. One of the EMT75 Honorees will be chosen as having shined particularly brightly in the energy management space this past year. (To be announced May 17.)

Many of the “doers” below will be familiar to you, as they have been prominent in the industry for years. Others have worked diligently behind the scenes, while still others are just emerging as energy management specialists who are making a difference. The list is not the be-all and end-all of individual energy knowledge, and we know there are many, many people working successfully and persistently – and out of the public eye – to improve energy management. That being said, these 75 Honorees have come to our attention as those who provide their companies with results that are worthy of recognition.

The Energy Manager Today 75 is a recognition program developed and run by the Environment and Energy Leaders Institute, the convening, best practices, thought leadership and peer-learning arm of Environmental Leader, Energy Manager Today and The Environmental Leader and Energy Manager Conference.

(Note: The individuals listed below will be recognized at a celebratory networking reception, sponsored by Sparkfund, on May 17, as part of the Environmental Leader & Energy Manager SummitThe Person of the Year will be announced at that event, as well. Check back after that date to see the Person of the Year.)

Now it’s my honor to introduce the 2018 Energy Manager Today 75, a group of Honorees nominated by industry leaders, then curated and chosen by Energy Manager Today, along with our advisers and other industry insiders.
