MaxLite announced the introduction of Buy American Act (BAA) compliant LED T8 tubes for government, military, education, and healthcare facility lighting upgrades.
The energy-efficient lighting solutions provider says that the UL Type A and Type B tubes are currently available through a recent expansion of production and assembly capabilities at the company’s facility in Anaheim, California. MaxLite plans to introduce BAA compliant UL Type C products later this year.
“MaxLite BAA compliant T8 tubes are the simple way to upgrade existing fluorescent linear fixtures to the energy-saving benefits of LED,” the company says. “The lamps reduce energy consumption by more than 50% and deliver 50,000 hours of lumen maintenance, resulting in significant long-term operational and maintenance cost savings for facilities of all sizes.” These LED tubes come with a five-year limited warranty.
Besides the T8 tubes, MaxLite produces a range of LED luminaires that are compliant with the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), including the MPulse architectural outdoor range, and the indoor industrial HL and HP series high bay fixtures.
Headquartered in West Caldwell, New Jersey, MaxLite has been offering energy-efficient lighting products since 1993. The company is a five-time recipient of the Energy Star Partner of the Year Award for industry leadership.
“We will continue to increase MaxLite’s production capacity and inventory to support our customers’ projects with compliant products, and grow our position as a market leader in BAA/TAA solutions,” said MaxLite president and CEO Yon Sung.
