SMA Solar Techology, a German solar energy equipment supplier, and 3E have announced a new partnership in independent energy monitoring and management platforms. The solutions from both companies will now be directly connected: 3E’s SynaptiQ will be directly accessible through SMA’s new ennexOS IoT platform for energy management.
SMA is now taking its customers one step further into the digitalized energy world with ennexOS: a cross-sector platform for holistic, intelligent energy management. SynaptiQ, 3E’s hardware independent and flexible domain model-based PV monitoring platform (currently connected to more than 2.7 GWp), addresses the needs of professional asset managers and O&M companies. The software offers innovative solutions regarding reporting, alarm and ticket management, and performance analysis.
SMA has demonstrated the value of the open platform approach by implementing a connection template to third party portals from the Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS. The selectable connection with SynaptiQ will be available in Q3 of 2018 within SMA’s Data Manager M. In a next step, connections will be made available between the Sunny Portal and the ennexOS devices on one hand, and SynaptiQ and the 3E Data Services on the other hand.
Both companies are committed to shaping the future of PV monitoring, based on open platform connections and strong industry standards to enable the integration of all the data relevant to energy generation, storage and consumption.
