Sonoma Vineyard Seeks Self-Sufficiency with Multi-Renewable Microgrid and Storage

Stone Edge Farm, a spa and vineyard in Sonoma, California, announced the selection of Emerson Automation Solutions on January 24 to provide efficient and reliable operation of its new microgrid – which Stone Edge describes as “a self-sufficient energy production and distribution facility relying on diverse sources of electricity, including solar power, wind power, hydrogen power, and advanced storage battery technology.”

Jacobs Selected for Pioneering New Jersey Rail Microgrid Project

New Jersey Transit – which operates 12 rail lines in the Garden State and provides nearly 223 million passenger trips each year – announced on January 3 that it had selected Jacobs Engineering Group to provide design and general engineering services for the agency’s $577 million microgrid project – the first of its kind nationwide.
