Submeters Installed Directly on Circuit Breaker

Persistent Efficiency has deployed its Power Patches energy sensors in buildings such as the million-sq-foot multi-use building at 77 West Wacker Drive in Chicago. Power Patches submeters can be installed without an electrician, directly onto circuit breakers.

Persistent Efficiency recently closed an initial seed round of $1.1 million and is now accepting applications for its new Commercial Partnership Program. The company is looking to partner with building owners/managers, real estate investors and companies that specialize in energy retrofit services. In this first phase, Persistent Efficiency will provide a planned, structured pilot program to the business to achieve its efficiency program goals, including, if necessary, bringing in appropriate partners for control of monitored loads.

After Power Patches are installed, businesses will be able to accurately detect equipment and energy inefficiencies and formulate control strategies to reduce recurring utility costs. The sensors feed data into the cloud, and Persistent Efficiency uses this information to provide efficiency insights. Through an online portal, businesses can see their detailed energy use and what changes in behavior and equipment will save the most money. Real time alerts can then be provided when power usage deviates from target amounts.
